I want to express my deep gratitude for your generous gift to our emergency response in Myanmar. Because of supporters like you, our team was able to quickly mobilize to help survivors in areas devastated by the catastrophic earthquake that struck on March 28. Since then, we have been working with trusted local organizations to provide relief where it’s needed most.
In Mandalay, we have supplied rice and cooking oil to a monastic school with 1,500 students and staff. We have also delivered meal boxes to 740 households living in temporary camps and provided bags of rice to 1,600 additional households in the Kanyaw Muslim community.
In Sagaing, one of the hardest-hit regions, we've equipped 180 households with medicine, mosquito nets, sleeping mats, and essential cooking supplies. These resources are critical for those who are now living in makeshift shelters under precarious conditions.

In Southern Shan State, we have provided solar lights to 70 households that lack electricity, improving their safety and daily lives. These families have also received cooking oil and nails to repair damaged homes.
None of this would be possible without support from kind people like you.
As a Quaker organization, AFSC is guided by the belief that there is worth and dignity in every person. Your support helps us put these values into action, ensuring all people have access to the resources they need to thrive. When individuals like you step up, we not only alleviate immediate suffering but help lay the foundation for a more just, peaceful future for all.
Thank you for standing with earthquake survivors in Myanmar during this crisis.
